Bio: Corey Pressman is an anthropologist, futurist, writer, and speaker. He received an MA in Cultural Anthropology from Washington State University in 1992. Since then, he has taught Anthropology, chaired a Social Sciences Department, and run two digital startups. As VP of Adaptive Strategies at Fiction, he works with brands, organizations, and individuals as an imagination mentor and culture consultant. As a Fellow of Arizona State University's Center for Science and the Imagination, Corey leads academic workshops for grant-funded projects and teaches classes on story-based prototyping.

His short story "Divided Light," will appear in an anthology of science fiction and nonfiction about futures shaped by bountiful solar energy published by the Arizona State University in the fall of 2018. Corey is also co-editor of ASU's Medium Publication Imaginary Papers, where he regularly contributes pieces on technology, art, and experimentation. Corey also contributed a chapter to the IGI Global publication Examining Paratextual Theory and its Applications in Digital Culture.

Corey frequently presents at conferences, gatherings, and retreats about change, culture, innovation, and The Alchemy of Wasted Time. The Alchemy is a framework for incorporating the arts and humanities, experimentation, and active daydreaming into the workweek as a means of achieving human-centered innovation and personal vitality.
