Bio: In 2005 Georgiann Baldino partnered with a clinical social worker to develop a therapeutic journaling workshop. She currently serves as co-facilitator for this program, provided by Edward Cancer Center. Georgiann combined clinical research with her writing experience to create sessions that help participants explore their needs in a safe, nurturing environment. She regularly speaks at other organizations and libraries about ways journaling becomes self-healing.
Georgiann began her career as a business writer for a Fortune 500 company. After the 9-11 terrorist attacks she worked for a county government agency editing and laying out web-based emergency response plans. Currently she continues to freelance as a professional speaker and business writer, creating web content, promotional copy, nonfiction articles and essays.
Each year she coordinates the Youth Writing Competition for the Naperville Woman’s Club, GFWC Illinois. This contest is held annually to encourage local students to write.
Georgiann lives near Chicago with her husband and mentor, Bob. Her hobbies are gardening, yoga, and meeting people who will someday find their way into a story.
